They've gone. Bright and early this morning - rise and shine at three AM and out the door at 4, suitcases and all, setting out on the route to the airport. An overwhelming mellow spirit wraps each of us as Tom and Tine are ready to set their destination across the country. We don't know when we'll see Tom again. He has one more year to serve with the Army, but he hasn't made up his mind whether he will reenlist. He is still fixed on his long time goal of being a Fireman. Time and Life can intercept many plans and many plan are changed because of life's surprises.
The house is quiet. Kev and Alex have gone to visit friends ----- there is a huge void in the air!
